i agree with more money for public education.
i don't think the other part is a disservice though...jobs are looking for degrees. h.s. diplomas ain't gettin it.

the teacher loan forgiveness plan is what i'm aiming for but you have to teach at low income schools that qualify for 5(more like 3 would be preferable) consecutive years but that's fine by me. a lot of teachers i've spoken to have had issues getting it though.

I make under 25k and get taxes taken out of my check and then still owe when it comes to tax time. And guess what? Gov't says I make too much money to receive food assistance or state/fed healthcare. So no, I am not happy about folks in a program that I help to fund being able to buy honey buns and 3 liter fruit punch soda when I can only afford beans and rice.

but this is why you have students who aren't prepared to major in STEM programs. if you don't have the basics, you will fail in college.

Teachers should have a lot more access to certain things. Not all teachers are good, but I couldn't imagine the issues the deal with trying to educate these lil bastards alllll day long 5 days a week.

one could argue that the economy boost was direct result of the rise of middle class and the power of their dollar
