The government funds alot of people education whether they are borrowing or getting scholarships. This really all comes down to what some of you think other people deserve. Rich people think they deserve more than the 99% because they are taught people outside of certain tax brackets are lazy.

SC is the absolute worst in the south when it comes to aiding schools.

That's intentional though.

SC doesn't give two damns about education .

A former Education superindent actually said " education in SC is kept deliberately poor to ensure steady labor for the mills"

This was in the 80s I think , could be wrong about the date

if you're spending money in things that don't work, its a problem.
its a bigger problem if your government is doing so. 

rerouting funds to public education is a great idea. one that would show a difference in the kind of workforce, and the growth of the middle class. spending money on college students is wasteful and a disservice to the nation's youth.

but it needs to be rerouted to target things that work in our system. 
spending money on standardized testing that doesn't help qualify a strong workforce is an example of wasteful spending.

of course they did. i think soldiers should have free education across the board for the most part.

i see....well i can mos def agree with placing more focus on k-12...but where we differ is i don't think it should stop there...
