its a hyperbole wonderland.

they have to pay it back.  if they ever work then they have to pay it back.  it cannot be discharged in bankruptcy either...

how many 40 yr olds do you know that still have bills from school loans?
a lot. paying interest on a 50,000 bill isn't optimal.

are you really concerned with the individual being in debt.  i think not.

they have to pay it back.  if they work...their wages can be garnished.  if they have assets they can be taken.  the only way to get out of paying student loans is to NEVER work..NEVER have anything in your name or die.  those are the only options.

And as far as that mention of ppl not paying back loans. It's people with this anti gov handout stance who were the ones qualifying for 700k home loans and using all 700k knowing it was above their means and going into foreclosure. All this is, is finger pointing.

The avg person can't even take out 24k a semester because 1, they only let you take out so much depending on what year you're in, 2 50k is the tuition cap on undergrad degrees on most cases. After two semesters you'd be maxed out pretty much. So um yeah this is very silly and unrealistic.

fin aid packages have more than just loans sang.
scholarships, school grants, fed grants and loans are offered.

there are students that are quick to take more than they need. even with all the other things made to try to help them not take that much loan money.

do i really care if they pay it back? as an individual... no.
but as a system who knows this is a flaw, and that this flaw has led us as a nation into trouble before... yeah i care.

this isn't just one person doing this. its happening on a large scale.
so yeah... i will be concerned about you taking loans for no reason.
