Man please....
In Texas...
*the average start for a teacher is about $50,000 (and there were raises recently)
*They get paid a $3,000 stipend for each AP/IB class they teach
*They get $$$ for being a UIL coordinator
*They get $$ if they coach.
*They get $$$ for SPED certifications
*If they teach Science or Math, they get $17,000 in loan forgiveness.
*If they teach English, they get $5,000 in loan forgiveness.
*They already have a built in retirement system. (TRS)
There's money in education..If they wanted to be a curriculum specialist, add another $20,000 a year....
Should it be harder tho? No..Teachers go thru loops to get certified...and the test aren't easy
