How do you feel about skipping children a grade or two?
Were any of you skipped?

I was not skipped, but family members have been skipped
I think 1 grade is okay
more than that and you run into social issues

Sure why not? Our district doesn't allow that though. They just let us take college classes the last year and a half.

This boy in my school graduated at 15 he skipped 3 grades, highest G.P.A in the school, straight A's not even one B & he now attends Harvard with a full scholarship, alot of people never knew he was that young though, we thought he was atleast 16 until the principle announced it at graduation

Depending on the situation, I'm not necessarily a proponent of skipping if it can be circumvented, for various reasons which I'll go into later. Most skipping occurs at the primary school level, and I think that taking collegiate courses or graduating early is a good option at the high school level.

my older brother was supposed to have been skipped 2 grades and for some reason my mother refused. i thought it was ridiculous for him to be stuck in grades where he never had to work at anything. i think it was just fear that kept my mother from allowing him to be skipped, either that or ignorance.
