Hey ladies, I've been watching a lot of youtube hair vids, and reading threads and I see that a lot of naturals use water mixed with different oils as a moisturizer...

This really intrigues me, especially because I have discovered I have oily hair, so sometimes using a thick moisturizer everyday is too much for my
hair...so I'm looking for some light alternatives, esp for the summer.

Please share your mixes! and give a review on how you use it, the end result and how it makes your hair feel! This could be a really beneficial thread to help us all Wink

When I do braid-outs and have to re-do the braids every evening, I spritz the section with a mixture of water, GVP Silk Infusion, + castor oil. It's mostly water of course, with maybe five drops each of the other stuff.

My hair feels super soft, never coated, and b/c of the silk infusion I don't have many tangling issues -my primary issue with braid-outs. Sometimes I might put a little moisturizer on before I spritz, but usually the spray is enough.

My mixture is water, olive oil, and mane n tail conditioner. I usually put it on after I wash or cowash my hair while it's still damp. It makes my hair feel GREAT.

water, Suave Humectant, Honey, the stuff in a Gelatin Capsule, Jojoba oil, and olive oil ( i read somewhere the combination penetrates better).

And another mixture I have is:
Water, Coconut Oil, Moisture Milks Condish,a little Elasta QP H-two.

It goes around really easily, detangles, makes my hair soft, and is light, all in one! I recommend using either only a little condish or a little oil (like if you want to put alot of oil, only put a little, condish, and the other way around.)
