Cream, I don't see why not. I use my machine to make wigs with NGirl hand tied wefts and the needle didn't damage the tracks.

I just bought a new sewing machine last week. It's a brother 20-stitch sewing machine. It cost me $40 at Walmart. It's a very basic, beginners sewing machine.

Thus far, I've experimented with making pillows. This was my first creation made from an old t-shirt...

Sorry for the size...

Sn: I need help finding a dress form. Unfortunately, all of the adjustable dress forms that I've seen don't adjust enough for pear-shaped bodies...so I'm thinking of making one from duct tape/paper mâché. I saw a few tuts on youtube, so I'll probably make one pretty soon.

^^^ That's really nice! I learned how to sew in middle school we had rows of machines and I was a pro on threading that bobbin lol. I sewed a sweater and a hot dog pillow. I loved it!

Thanks ladies!

Sewing is REALLY fun, threading is part I despise most...lol.

I'm up for a quilt-along, I think it'd be fun...

Once I make this dress form, I'm going to work on clothes, focusing mainly on evening gowns. Lately, I've become obsessed with sequins, beads, and bows...I have so many ideas that I can't convert to paper because I can't draw to save my life.

LOL My mama layed on that pillow so much the stuffing came out and my sweater got stolen out my locker in gym class Cry. Oh well I had great memories in that class. Before we could even sew with thread my teacher made us make holes on patterned worksheets with just the needle on the machine LOL

That pillow is quite lovely!

In H.S. I made a baby romper, some silk pj pants and 2 outfits for our yearly fashion show.

I made like a Tennis outfit (that Angela Simmons modeled in, since my original model got fatErmm) and a Fantasy Flame outfit. This was back in 2004 and they had Angela model in damn near everythang since her relatives was giving money to the school...

I need to get a sewing machine, but I have no space to put it. But I will get one soon. i think I still have the same bobbins and bobbin cases from school lol
