Its not hard, just threading your machine can be annoying.

The best machines are the old ones (Singer).

They have a few machines on Amazon that you can get...

Blaque speaks the truth about those old ass Singer but they are HEAVY as hell.  You can scope one up at a garage sale or estate sale for a hundred or so.

For Christmas!   Girl you are good!  The pressure!

That is so heartfelt.   Purple's comment made me think what a wonderful rememberance gift ... a quilt of a loved one's clothes etc

baby clothes or even clothes from someone that passed

I'm making a no sew quilt out of my old sweatshirts and tshirts. I don't have time, patience, or money for real quilting. If my no sew quilt comes out well I'll post it.

I have wanted to learn. I intend to so that I can sew curtains pillows etc. Now it's glue gun, fabric glue and sewing by hand. Great looking quilt! I still have mine that an aunt made for b.s. graduation gift. My little ones are always swiping it to curl up with. It means more now since she has passed on.

I didn't know anything about a bobbin either lol. When I tell you I started from scratch I'm serious. I have worked on it slowly since mid November. Checked out a couple of library books, got a simple pattern free on a blog and watched a lot of youtube. I never jumped ahead of myself. I purchased all of the tools as I needed them and watched videos of what I was currently working on. If I didn't give myself a deadline like Christmas it would have never gotten finished.

Is it possible to use a regular sewing machine to sew cut tracks back together?

I'm thinking about taking my Wags NC tracks to this Korean seamstress.
