The rest of my hair that was protected by the sew in was very soft and curly. I used Tea Tree Mint Conditional (left it on all day) and washed with Morrocan Argan Oil Shampoo. Ultimately, I would call it a win-win. My next week, I'm going to get a lace closure to protect the front of my hair.

I have a budget so I wear hair from True Glory hair. It's pretty good to me. Easy to dye minimal shedding.

I think it is a good idea.  Just be mindful of the of the shed hairs that comes with it and you would be good to go.

And give you hair a break once in a while. Keep your ends trimmed. Keep your hair moisturized. Monitor your hair, I.e excessive shedding, dryness.

OP how has this worked for you? I am thinking of installing a upart wig with some leave out because I don't feel like fussing with a closure but will probably just order one and wear a upart wig with closure...just wanted to see how your growth was coming along

I am currently using a weave as a protective style. And as many of the ladies mentioned, it is very important to keep your own hair moisturized underneath.

I have a color applicator bottle filled with leave-in conditioner and water. I squirt the solution between my tracks 2-3 times a week. I also wash and condition once a week. I am also using Jamaican Black Castor oil on my edges to prevent any thinning.

HTH...Good Luck!! Wink

I didn't do half of what you did and I still experienced nice growth. I had posted a thread on it quite a while ago but since I haven't been really active on BHM, I can't find it.  Good luck! Get those 6-8 inches girl!
