Ok Here yall go.... I made a diagram using a mannequin head of what my braids look like.   It was kinda hard to do but I think you get the point.  The yellow box is my own hair that I left out...  The thick black lines are the braids and arrows show direction.  If you can see it the red lines are meant to show the actual tracks (3 total) that I did the reverse/backwards sew in trick on.  Thanks to OrangePOP for putting that out there b/c using the Bliss hand tied weft it almost looks like the hair is growing right outta my scalp.   For the most part I sewed the weave/tracks one for one on top of the braids (horizontally from ear to ear).  But on the top of my head you can see that the braids are going back but the tracks are still sewed on horizontally.  I hope this makes sense

Thank you essence.  Gosh, this explains why my front always look so jack-up.  I leave to much hair out in the front. Can you explain the reverse/backward  sew in track?  I tried searching for it,can't seem to find it.    Thank-you.

The reverse track thing was mention by a couple of people in another topic.  One of the indian hairs topic, I think.  I cant keep up ...  But anyway, if you look at the one track on the diagram that is going horizontal on top of the head (in red)....  OK, well normally you would sew that on hair flowing down the back, right.  With the reverse method you sew the track on coming into your face, as if you were gonna do some bangs.  Once its sewed on you then you comb/flip the hair over track so that is goes backwards.  It helps cover that last track that is close to your hair....  I did that for all 3 tracks that are near my part where my real hair is with very thin hand tied wefts.  It makes the weave look very undetectable....

Essence- the backward sew-in method, is that for curly hair? It seems like it would be bulky or lumpy if you were sewing in straight hair. Reason I ask is I'm using straight Indian hair and I will be trying my FIRST sew-in this weekend *crossing fingers tightly*

Branskye,  I was thinking the same thing.  I have in curly hair right now and it works wonderfully.  This is my first time trying it so I dont know how it would look w/straight hair.  Hopefully somebody how has tried it will respond.  You could always sew the track and just see how it looks.  If it doesn look right take it out and sew it in the normal direction.

Essence-

this technique sounds so interesting, if and and whenever I do a another sew in (I have micros in now), I'm going to try that method.

BTW- Your fotki album was lovely, you really know how to make those styles look so natural
