 Topic: Saran wrap method for hair growth?

Hi there
So I'm surfing on youtube and ran into "sistawithrealhair" whose hair is just gorgeous 
She tried out the saran wrap method on her nape, it's a protective style which entails oiling dry hair (ends only) and then wrapping it with saran wrap......for 1 month. Her results seem pretty darn good to me but wanted to see if anyone has tried this with success. TIA

i like Sistawithrealhair's vids am a subscriber (cant get enough of her) and think her hair is gorgeous but her methods wouldnt really work for me because my hair really loves water and thrives on it, hers doesnt (she washes 1x per month). the closest i can do is the baggy method which is what i do already.

i baggy as well, and it seems to really help to retain my growth. Plus, i'm very clumsy when it comes to saran or cling wrap.  As for shampooing the hair once a month? That's quite alright. If i did that, plus working out? The smell would precede me 15 mins. before i've even entered the gym.

I need to see a demonstration, my nape is my problem area as of late but I am not sure what to do. Does she just saran wrap it at night?

I suscribed to her channel a while back.
Her hair is just gorgeous!
I do not use any of her methods though.
I just watch her videos for growth inspiration.

A month? How? Like she just wraps the edges with saran wrap and keeps it on throughout the entire month without taking it off? Even while she showers sleeps and manages the rest of her hair? Sorry I can't view the video on my device. I noticed when I was very consistent with using castor oil on my edges and nape daily, they grew out like magic. Then I stopped and it all went to the dogs. I'm planning on working on it for the next 6 months while I protective style simultaneously.

Thanks for posting, Tatee. And IA w/you, my hair loves water too much to try that or some of her practices.
But the way she finger detangled her hair is the way I do mine weekly.
About the saran wrap, that reminds me of the ladies in the Growth section a couple years ago who used to baggy their ponytails. They would M&S, bun and then baggy the bun underneath a faux ponytail, bun or wrap. They saw lots of retention that way. But I think they took it down more often than she does.
Lurking, maybe you can try that variation.
