I would like to know how to roller set natural 4b hair that is 4-5 inches in length. What products would I use? Any helpful suggestions are welcomed! Thanks!Smile

yes its possible to set 4b hair but unless you are using curl formers your set may not be as smooth as a relaxer. i currently am rollersetting and i use a setting lotion, leave in an a serum. my hair got very smooth. i have 4a hair. for natural hair snap on rollers are the best. also try doing a ponytail rollerset or braid the roots and then roll. its much less of a headache to roll natural hair that way.

here is a link to my fotki so you can see the pictures

Have you ever tried Bantu knots?  They are much easier on the hair.

Napp, I went to your fotki and I got some questions.

What is lacio-lacio?

And how did you like using curl formers?

I actually was doing a search here for ladies that used them.  Snap on curlers I've done in the past and they are too hard to sleep in for me, but I thought the curl formers look more comfortable.

lacio lacio is a leave in. it makes the hair feel so nice and silky

i never used curlformers personally because of the price but i have seen many others use it with success. i dont sleep in my hard rollers. i will roll in the early afternoon and remove them when i go to bed or sit under the dryer. i sleep in flexi rods though but they need to be strategically placedLOL

The curlformers are awecome! They are not uncomfortable to even sleep in them. You get better results (smoothers, straighter hair) if you dry under a hooded dryer.

When I have roller set with hard , snap on rollers i just roll on wet hair. Apply some straightening leave in and sit under the dryer.
