Ri is model'esque pretty...because her features (outside of the eyes and skin) arent conventional...If she were dark I don't think ppl would be checkin for her.

Bey is generic pretty

I relate more with Riri from the angular face, down the bell peppah nose....

Everybody is shaped differently. Just because she doesn't have 44 EEE breasts and a 50 inch waist doesn't mean she is not a woman. Some guys like thick women and some like the slimmies. I mean really. Having a dress size in the teens is not a requirement of being a woman. Rihanna looks good.
Did you skip what I said before this about my not talking about a dress size?

Even so, not everyone is an hourglass either. She's no less a woman because she's not an hourglass. What about the women getting ass shots and implants and blowing out their knees trying to look a some jumpoff in a video? Some people are naturally tall and thin with fully functioning ovaries, believe it or not.
Where did I say she wasn't a woman? Women do come in all shapes and sizes. I'd rather my hourglass or Bey's Pear shape than Rih's. People can like whatever they want, that's them. The thread asked for opinions and I gave mine. Rih doesn't have enough curve for me and she could be a size 0 or 10, she still doesn't have enough curve. There are women that are a size 20 and shaped like Spongebob, so it doesn't matter the dress size.

But more females have eating disorders or severely diet themselves to look like Rih (who looks like majority of women u see in fashion mags) then any of the other ones I mentioned. The media portrays that thin and curve less is in, when majority of us aren't like that. I'd rather curves, but that's just me.

And you don't have to be a 44EEE either

You said real women have curves, and that Rihanna doesn't have curves; therefore it follows that Rihanna isn't a real woman. Thin bashing is just as bad as the other way around. But we can agree to disagree.

i wish y'all would stop with this garbage

I wish people would stop starving themselves to be that skinny. Why do you think so many people have come out against girls and women trying so hard to imitate women they see in magazines and on runways?

But you'll never feel or experience that though.
and on the opposite end of the spectrum you have people injecting their bodies with concrete and the like for curves, because, real women have curves right?

its bullsit, attaching the term real woman to anything invalidates those that dont fit into that subgroup with the possible effect of affecting one's self esteem and placing value of one's feminity on physical attributes

its like trying to embrace one body type over the other why not embrace everyone female?

its counterproductive and equally damaging
Those few compared to how many females that are killing themselves to be that skinny? Come on now. Eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia, exercise bulimia and even laxative bulimia aren't new. So why are u acting like you don't already know this? Hell, more than one president has spoken out about people on magazines being too thin and how many people have come out saying women should just be them? The number of women trying to be skinny far outweighs the amount of blk women being stupid enough to inject themselves with toxic substances trying to look like Nicki Minaj

Both are damaging, women just need to accept themselves. I'd just rather Beyonce's shape over Rih's. I'm tired of seeing designers make things that i have to figure out either "How I'm going to wear a bra with that?" or "Is that long enough for where my ass won't show when I walk bc the hemline is going to rise about 2 inches when I put it on?" Almost everything looks good on people with size like Rih bc there isn't much there, their body can showcase the clothes. Not on women with hour and pear glass shapes.

Beyonce's body isn't realistic for most women either. That body takes just as much work as rihannas. I think many women are restricting themselves to look like Beyonce...she ain't eatin like the avg woman.

I didn't say she was starving either. I said girls and or women starving themselves to look like her. Big difference.

A person doesn't have to starve themselves to get down to a healthy weight. They could just stop overeating.

So all the women of diff sizes with curves over eat?
