So I tried the faux bleaching method using the Sally Hansen Deep Bronze Airbrush leg spray and just a super hold hairspray (salon grafix mega hold unscented). The color is way too orange / brown for my scalp. If I wash the wig will the color come out of the lace? Or will I damage the lace? It's a synthetic whole lace wig (magic lace, hand tied new born free ML44).

Please let me know. I did it last night and let it dry and tried it on this morning and it just makes the lace more noticeable. It looked better before I dyed it. I probs sprayed too much. I've read a couple posts saying it does indeed come out, but I just would like to know the safest washing method to get it out with out damaging the synthetic hair or the lace.

Sally H is just make up that and the hair spray should wash out easily. Just wash gently so you don't tangle your hair.

Thanks! Can I run water directly over the lace (like flip the hair inside out) or is just a gentle washing enough?

you can run it over the lace. Just watch your water temp since it's synthetic. You didn't state heat resistant fiber etc.

Can I use a tiny amount of aphogee deep moisture shampoo, green apple suave (the $1 kind), or garnier fructis shampoos? Not all at once but one of these? i don't have dove shampoo or baby shampoo or synthetic wig shampoo :/

Hey guys! So I washed it out the same day (12th) and I used 1tsp of the green apple suave shampoo. it's like $1 in walgreens / cvs. Anyway it went really well! Most if not all of it came off.  I can still see remmnants of the SH but the lace is not super orange anymore and looks very much like how it did when I bought it, just very slightly tinted.

I also conditioned the hair with silicon mix and then wrapped it in a towel for 30min. After that I unwrapped it and left it on top of a towel to dry over night. i don't own a wig head / stand. So far wig looks great and is holding up well. Glad I got that wash out of the way.

Thanks for all of your advice!
