This will be my first time coloring my hair and im a bit nervous. I bought the Loreal Feria Natural Black color because my hair has been sandy red since I was young and im tired of the dry, dull color it's producing

I have two questions

If I was to use the chelating shampoo, how long do i have to wait to apply the color??

and

How long do I have to wait after coloring to get a relaxer?

please help, thank you

I gotta be honest, double processing is extremely hard on your hair.

I don't know who believes that you're supposed to relax right before you get your hair bleached and dyed, but I guarantee you that's asking for breakage.

Keep the relaxing and dying as far apart as you can. Do one right after the other and you will surely kill your hair.

I don't reccomend relaxing and coloring your hair the same day unless you are doing a rinse color which is temporary and is designed for relaxed hair. Double processing is a big no no in my book! I say its not worth it. Unless you like short cut hairstyles because that is what your hairstylist would do if you decide to take a risk

color a relaxer but never relax a color, will cause damage. Did you know that dying your hair  alters your hair texture? That is why hairstylists say don't do it in the same day or week. If you want permanet dye wait at least 4 weeks, and i think that women with thin hair and who are relaxed shouldn't color their hair at all, because obviously the relaxer is doing the damage without the dye

Its supposed to be relaxer then dye.
I have only done rinses but they work well and last a long time my hair was not damaged at all.
Obviously a rinse will only work if you want a darker colour than your own.

If not just wait a week or 2, give your hair a few treatments and then dye it, best not to rush and lose all your hair!
