How can I stop this?
I don't think I can, but maybe some of you can help me out
The same people keep showing up in my dreams
These are people I no longer speak to so I'm not sure why this keeps happening

Hmmm. I am not sure it can be stopped. When I have recurring dreams, it is for a reason. I often dream in themes, according to my reality.

What are the dreams about? If you don't talk to the people you're dreaming about maybe either something happened to them or the people in the dreams are going to come back into your life soon or something.
Also, IDK if there is a way to stop the dreams from happening.

You have underlying issues with the people that hurt or upset you deep in your conscious . Try to avoid Medicine , sugar ,and caffiene shortly before sleep . I usually dream about the last thing on my mind before i retire for the evening .

Google cognitive dreaming. It is something in your unconcious that is expressing itself. Sometimes people represent an emotion that someone has made you feel.
I used to have recurring dreams a lot, and some of them were precognitive, some of them were warnings, some were just insights. But it all comes from you.
