anybody else suffers with this? this is so depressing.  it has been going on for years.  last year i did get a break, but then it came back and i've been fighting it since.  i've been tested for diabetes and hiv (negative) and yesterday i got thyroid hormone levels drawn to see if i'm low on those.  i was cultured and they said it was yeast, but they don't know what strainAngry.  so i'm thinking i'm resistant to the over the counter stuff and also diflucan.  and i do all the stuff they tell you to do or not do (been doing that for years).  so yesterday i started using yeast gard suppositories that i put in the freezer so they are cold and help with the swelling and inflammation and using diaper rash cream on the outside to help with itching.  the diaper rash cream has me feeling a lot betterLOL.  so anyway, anybody else have this problem or some insight on this?  i'm also going to make my doc refer me to a gyno who specializes in this problem b/c this foolishness has got to stop!

I think this is called candida. It's when the balance of bacteria gets thrown off. The yeast can increase. I think men get it in their bodies too. Though it goes by another name- thrush. I think babies get that...  I think natural yogurt helps and acidophilus. I believe you can find it in the health food or vitamin stores.

Also any other problems? I ask because sometimes birth controls pills can interfere with your health. I had to switch brands, it was driving up my blood pressure high. I was having super headaches. Went for my checkup and that's it. Good luck!

I haven't had a yeast infection since I was like a preteen, but I can remember how annoying it was!! I feel your pain :-(

Sorry to hear you're experiencing recurrent episodes.

If in a relationship of any sort, have you thought about your man being the culprit? Not pointing the finger, but sometimes women suffer from persistent yeast infections because their man have a yeast infection and they ping-pong it back and forth to one another; in other words, you're clear but he's not and he passes it back to you and you to him; an oblivious cycle. Also, the man must have very good hygiene! And men who drink a lot of beer are a problem too.

Maybe you both should eat a lot of yogurt? lol. Would prob help fight off the infection naturally. It has to be a non-sweetened/unflavored yogurt that contains active bacterias. Also limit sugar intake. Also stress is a bi factor! Drink a lot of water too.

If you eat well/a clean diet then I don't know what else could be the cause. I mean you've already mentioned that you do not have Diabetes and such so it's something else that is causing this ordeal. Maybe the soap you're using? BC? Allergy to latex condoms? Your panties? (make sure you're wearing cotton only, also stay away from thongs. Maybe you have a urinary tract infection and not a yeast infection?? There is a difference although similar symptoms. Make sure you're well shaved as well. I think you should see an endocrinologist.

Anyway, I'm rambling on. I really hope this recurrent yeasts eventually stops soon. Good luck hun!

It clears up but will return for any little reason. Even when I went on vacay I tried not to get my bikini bottoms wet. The did get a little wet and I changed them not long after and still got one. I want a new vagina!

Look let me tell you them doctors just wanna make some cash and its a business  ok gurl!! Beware and make your own judgements i was in the same predicament two years ago and my doctor and gyno kept prescribing medecine i didnt really need to make a long story short go natural as possible.
This is what i learn from my experience:
- Go natural and organic diet stop the sugary stuff no acholol for awhile
-drinks a lot of sugarfree cranberry juice and also take cranberry pills which you can buy at any health food store
- eat lots of plain yogurt the less low fat sugar the better and i mean lots of yogurt
- lots of fruits and veggies
- oh yea your clothing has an affect too so make sure your clothes are not tight in the pu$$y area lol
- panties have to be wash seperately make sure the soap you are using to wash is not harsh
- cotton panties nothing else or more it can be them old fashion hanes you see at walmart its 100% cotton makes a whole lot of difference
- I repeat do not wash your vagina with soap in the inside because it can kill bacteria just wash it with water inside you can wash soap on the outside of the area that is another one
- oh yea at night make sure you shower and sleep with loose or at all any clothing down there to get fresh air lol

hope this helps because the doctor is going to keep prescribing your syptoms until you get sick off the meds and then that will be another problem you didnt have to deal with. And this list are some cheap alternatives because i was fed up lol

Alkaline water cranberry juice from trader joes, I actually broke down and douched with tea tree oil and water ...7 drops to about a cup and a half of water. Mixed one drop with 98% aloe vera gel for the outter area...did this for three days....got all new undies because yeast can live in the britches even after they have been washed...Good luck

I agree with all of the women who suggested going as natural as possible. Eat yogurt and you can also apply unsweetened yogurt to the area( its messy). Drink lots of cranberry juice, tea or take cranberry pills. All of these and the tips on washing etc will help.
