Well, he was running for office and in the public eye when his charity came under scrutiny. That story was of more interest to people that some other random charity. The more popular a charity is, the more scrutiny they usually come under.

Gurrrrrrrrrl. I will read all of that after church sunday lol. I was crucified for saying the man was dishonest during the fund raiser . I will continue to believe he stole money for personal use . I give to ST JUDE RESERACH HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN . I have proof my dollars help children with Cancer .

1 more thing. Its easy for Charity groups to scam and make bank because people donate as an easy way to "pay it forward" and to say they did a good deed. Rarely if ever do people keep up with these organizations to see how the money is distributed if at all.

People still donate to the redcross after a big crisis regardless to the fact that the money never goes directly to aid that specific crisis. All they know is they gave and they get the pleasure of telling folk they did.
