exactly. but now she's all like, i don't want to play this role anymore.
@ epitome. i get it. she is ditzy, and i can see how people can find her annoying. but like love1 said, if she would stop being such a softie and say... hey this is what i want they would stop trying to ambush her. i agree that he does seem controlling though. even if that is the dynamic that they agreed to model their relationship after, he is much too aggressive and says unnecessary stuff.
i think a lot of them have the same problem with a lot of housewives. not everyone has to 'work' for what they have, and that can make people who broke their nails climbing to the top kind of upset.

Ep IA. As far as how he talks to Porscha it's one thing if it's just her he talks to like that since it seems like she has no problem with him talking down to her like she's a child but for him to try to talk to the other women like that makes me side eye him...It's all good if they have that relationship where he feels he can talk like that to his wife but not every woman is your wife so there is no need for him to speak in a condescending tone to the other ladies.
As far as being a housewife I understand Kordell being upset but at the same time I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing for Porscha to want to also have an outside career. There's nothing wrong with having a back up plan. Especially in the event that something happens and he ends up being out of work and without income.

i can see it. i could become a housewife but im not entirely interested....whereas i think Portia was interested and really sought it out/it might have been expected of her but now with the show she might have opportunities presented to her she never did before. most people question their live goals BEFORE they're married lol.
if she was more articulate....this wouldn't be a problem. Because nobody could have come at LaShawn Snow [can't believe her full name just came to me] like that. She would have checked them quick.
idk which houswife i would rather be.....not Cynthia, not Kenya, not Nene, not Phaedra...i guess it'd be her.

So? That's none of their business tbh And I really don't understand why they're judging her so harshly on standards that they hold for themselves I find it highly ironic that Nene is the loudest voice disapproving of how bossy Cordell is with Porsha when she's clearly biggest pushy loud-mouth in the bunch How you gonna YELL at someone to stop being a pushover and get with the program? LOL

they connect their identity to what their careers are -- which i feel is short sighted. but its the constant "i had to work for what i have honey" which makes them look a little bitter because of her lifestyle.
she doesn't try to undermine their lifestyles at all. and it seems odd that they continue to bring it up. |
because their lifestyles don't inhibit what they can or cannot do. hers does. and because she expresses the urge to do something else w/her life outside of whatever it is she does. Hoshea house ain't cuttin it for her. and she doesn't undermine their lifestyles but will make snide remarks about "maybe that's why you're single."
and Nene stated that she was a housewife herself for a long time so she understands how that dynamic works and looks like.
you can be a housewife and still be an independent personality outside of your family. my SIL is. |

idk understand the whole 'why are they judging her to standards they have for themselves'? that is the definition of judging...and they all judge each other and make their lil comments in their one on one interviews..she judges them too
and it's a tv show....with a script...../shrugs/

But if you're goal is to be a housewife, then why am I judging you on how much of a career woman you are?
