im getting conflicting feelings/views about porscha.
i love housewives. and if you want to be a housewife, i don't think thats something that people should be trying to fault. its like they're perpetually trying to make fun of her because she's privileged (has a good family, and married a rich man ... didn't have to do 'hard' work). like who cares, it reeks of jealousy. she's not trying to tell you how to run your household or anything.
at the same time, kordell is much too aggressive in public. you can be the man of your house without trying to prove to everyone else that you're the king.
but then again, i don't think porscha wants to be a housewife anymore. or fill that role that they thought that they were signing up for.
idk. i didn't like cynthia's husband either at first. he was taking her money and gutting it in ridiculous business ventures.

i think porscha wants to skew away from their plan... and get a nanny while she works. he doesn't want that. and thats understandable, thats not what he signed up for.

i think it's bc she seems like a housewife w/no voice. maybe it's bc those women worked and then became housewives so they had some semblance of independence or an identity outside of their husbands before they assumed that role

because their lifestyles don't inhibit what they can or cannot do. hers does. and because she expresses the urge to do something else w/her life outside of whatever it is she does. Hoshea house ain't cuttin it for her. and she doesn't undermine their lifestyles but will make snide remarks about "maybe that's why you're single."
and Nene stated that she was a housewife herself for a long time so she understands how that dynamic works and looks like.
you can be a housewife and still be an independent personality outside of your family. my SIL is.

IA w/ you, but i don't feel like she has no voice. she knew that he wanted the traditional housewife/barefoot and pregnant kind of thing. she said thats what attracted her to him. which is why i can't fault kordell for being upset.
not everyone intends to have the same exact lifestyle as everyone else. and they should be able to respect that. they don't.
ETA: i think everyone has an idea of what an 'independent' personality looks like. being married sometimes changes what you were doing outside your marriage. but irregardless, this all stems from them not respecting her because she's a housewife.

he said portia has to make sacrifices. so she needs to be a stay at home full time and take care of the their future child. but i don't know what she was doing beforehand?  maybe she is working towards a career?

They have children I think Cordell has 2 from another woman and she has 1 b4 marrying him... Idk why they act as if they don't have any children though just not together. She has been a stay at he mom. I wish she could just own up to it and be proud. Because that's the lifestyle I want. Yes I am getting a degree incase it does not workout that way but my dream is to be a housewife like my mother. I hate they ambush her for not working her whole life I wish she could just hit them with "so, get over it"

I do agree that Kordell can be upset if they had an understanding that she would raise their children and that there would be no nanny. I'm not mad at him for that.
I think he's thinking what is it that she would do? It's not like she's Phaedra who has a law degree. Or even the one who was a model. It seems like she had no career when she met him--soo I bet he's like you weren't trying to work before...what the heck is this about.
I feel like they don't respect her bc she says stupid stuff & it ditzy. The first season...that one lady was a housewife...the one married to a basketball player, and no one ever threw shade at her for her lifestyle or the fact that she didn't work and had help. La-something? i dont remember her name. They say stuff bc Kordell obviously seems controlling and speaks to her and the other women in a certain tone. I don't like his tone.
..and I do agree they should respect her marriage and how it runs. But she put her life and marriage on nat'l tv...just like Kandi and her 5 baby momma situation was talked about, Nene and her supposed affair, Cynthia and her marriage, Phaedra and her convict, Walter & Kenya...it's gonna happen..everybody can-and does-get it.

i don't know about kordell, but portia doesn't have any children.
