My stylist razor cuts but when I do my own hair I use the slide cutting technique. I don't think it matter as long as the person is skilled.

I prefer razor BUT ladies how do you reinstall after the weave has been layered?  How do you get it to line up so that the cut (style) is where it is supposed to be?

My stylist can cut her azz off, she can use shears and it still looks like a razor was used. Now some stylist will mess up your hair with shears. There is no extra charge for that.

And if someone charges more for something like a razor cut either they suck or are amazing.......Make sure you know which one it is before you let them touch your investment.

I agree it depends on the skill of the stylist......I like the razor..it does seem to make the hair flow more naturally.

I like razor cutting
I thought scissors were used to create a more blunt effect/style...& razors for a more naural/free flowing cut....
Guess depends on stylist!
