Noooooo, I always have my checklist. Some people are just "Special Needs" and I feel that unless you have worn a closure you won't understand the pickiness I have. My closure is too far back and I realized that the day of the install but at 2am I couldn't bear to make her redo it.  I went on vacation, came back and PAID for an adjustment and this BISH is Still too far back (flatter than it was before but steeeeeeeel).  So, this just reconfirmation that I need to start my stylist search over or just do it my DAYUM self. I should know better (now I do).....

True.
I don't think I ever stop tweaking my closure, even when I'm sure it looks great.

If you are informed BEFORE your appointment and can communicate what you prefer and what you expect you SHOULD be ok.  I admit that I'm more knowledgeable than most clients and I really have a checklist of what I expect.  I'm sure that would be offensive to some stylist however, my details can only help future clients as a learning experience.  I would suggest knowing where you want your closure positioned, also knowing where the braids should be anchored so the closure doesn't move back during the process.  Also, check each step of the process.  This particular instance, I didn't check the parting (making sure the closure isn't wrinkled) before the sew in started.  After that, the closure ended up 1/4 in farther back.  There is small margin of error in closure placements/installs. Most cases, a mediocre closure install is better than whack blending.

She sent it to me, however if she knew it was short, she should have not mailed it to me like that to begin with.

Or is it just me? Unhappy

Or gave you a discount for the missing ounces.

It may not be difficult if you have a good stylist and great communication. Being prepared always helps.  I prefer not to let someone else "own" what I must pay for.  LOL.
