I feel very protective of my health when I consider the fact that everything I consume either benefits my body, or contributes to poisoning it.
My friend recently told me that he has a family member who works at a high end supermarket that I prefer to buy my meat and produce at because they are of top quality and sanitation. He said every morning before the store opens, the employees in the meat section paint a red paste onto all of the red meat to make them appear fresh and healthy. underneath, the meat is a dull old brown.
My mother has bought minced beef here before and complained that all of the dye ran off once she soaked it in water.
I am not intrigued, and on a mission to find out the ingredients of this 'paint'. Perhaps food coloring? hmmmm.
