coco, i'd take care of it better, and when you see progress, start cutting things off. like i'd be super duper pissed if i cut off all my hair and then i didn't really have a good regimen, and my hair sort of grew back in the same way.
CR, i think its somewhat easier. I mean I like that its not bone straight, and has body to it. but i'm getting tired of hanging hair if that makes sense. i want a really big ass afro.
for either natural/relaxed or whatever in between you kind of have to really figure out what works for you. but when you're relaxed you can get away with it much better. if you don't moisturize your hair, sure it looks bad....but if you don't and you're natural you'll have a million knots. texlaxed is somewhere in between, i still get tangles in my hair. but they're easier to work out. my natural hair and detangling would be a f*cking mess if i weren't so interested in my hair right now.
when i'm wearing my hair out, i usually wash w/ a cleansing conditioner, blowdry, and straighten when i do it on my own. but when my hair is out, i actually prefer getting it done. (which is almost never now though) i'm usually in weaves b/c i don't wanna deal w/ two diff textures right now.
my hair feels really healthy, its thick and shiny. i do take a lot of time to do my hair though. i've always been like that, but i changed my habits. i use a lot of oils, my hair doesn't do well with butters. i think i've tried almost every one. i sometimes do protein treatments, but not often. but since in weave, i just usually keep my oiling up and make sure its not dry.
i get my weaves put in, by the same guy that washes my hair and sometimes gives me a roller set.

i think i know a considerable amount about hair, but i don't know my hair that well yet. i'm really just learning my natural texture. but all in all, texlaxed hair is probably much easier.
i think pretty much relaxed hair is maintenance^10
texlaxed = maintenance^25
natural = maintenance^50
i wrote too much. sorry.
