what does whether one takes their last name or not have to do with how long they last though? that should be the least of ones problems. when and if I ever get married I always thought of either keeping my last name or hyphenating my last name with my husbands.

this was exactly the arguement/discussion
hyphenating your last name just seems like a selfish thing to do

first this

"Hyphenated last names in a marriage= she think she wear the pants."
"B*tch. If I go thru all the trouble to get u. And make the commitment to keep u till I die, and u don't take my last name??"

So ladies... tell me why u would hyphenate your last name when u get married?
*waits for the selfishness*

I can see how it would seem that way to someone who has a traditional view on marriage.

And if the soon to be wife is more liberal and the husband is more traditional then I can see it leading to alot of arguing .
