Corrected since I don't think it matters how long you've known someone. It irks me when people use how long they've known a person as an excuse for why they still consider them a friend. Just because you've known a person your whole life doesn't mean they're your friend.

Man I need to get out. I wanted all this freedom and now I barely even leave my apartment.

The way my computer is postioned sucks because anyone who walkes up to my desk can see what I'm doing. And I'm usually lurking on forums or shopping...I finish my work quickly.

IDK. Maybe it's just with people in my age bracket but I notice these days when I observe my peers that people are ass backwards. They tend to be more loyal to people they've just met yet they double cross those they've known and been friends with their whole lives.

Guess that's why I tend to stay to myself all the time. I ain't got time for unexpected disappointments when it comes to friendships.

depends on what the new person can offer them......

And that's just the thing...People these days ain't lookin' for no friend they are looking for someone they can use based on what their needs are at that time. Then when they get what they were looking for they move on to the next person.

True. I've always noticed this in people though which is why I've always been introverted and usually have a hard time when it comes to opening up to others. I don't like dealing other people unless I absolutely have to. I don't have time for people trying to use me since people usually try to make out like they want to be my friend either because they are attempting to TRY and use me for something.
