The onion and pepper can cook same time. When mi get it Horlicks bokkle a get mi get from mi daddy. I have some in my fridge. I use it when I cooking tin mackerel and sardine.

Oh you mean when you have your ingredients you steam it together with the fish. Here I thought you were putting the onion and pepper in a steamer then placing in the bottle HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

Diane...u put them in a different pot...not together. Fry u fish. Then get another pot a nd cook up the vinegar ...pimento..onion...pepper. When it is done cooking(onions how u like them) then u pour it over the fried fish. If u cooking brown stew fish its a tad bit different. Fry the fish first then add onion ...scallion...sweet pepper...thyme and a tad of ketchup or browning and cook it down.
