Yes, you're right.. And my favorites are OZONE and Nix&Nox... thus, when i wear it in a bun, i make it a loose front and cut the hair to frame my face.  It's actually a good look when worn down.

and yes, you're right about the hairlines..LOL

But i am learning that the straps that come with the wig are helpful in making it feel more secure. the looser the wig becomes over time, the more you can pull the straps to keep a snug fit.

I do cut out the combs,  I've learned here on the forum as well as on YouTube, many ladies are losing their temple and nape hair because of day to day wear in the same area.

these lace fronts are so much lighter on my head than the full wigs i've always bought..

i'm beginning to wonder if i should keep all of those wigs i have in my closet.. They just feel so much heavier compared to the lace front wigs.

Femme, I can't remember your hair type so this may or may not help.... but what I do is to sew and elastic band (thank you tootsie's mom!) from ear to ear even on my glueless units and then just pull out the tiniest edge of my hair.

I agree that the Ozone and nix and nox are gorgeous. How long do you get yours to last?

hey Miss Carrie.Smile

my hair type is a 4c.. Thus, if i pull even the tiniest bit of hair out for the edges the world will know..LOL

What i have used to lay my edges down is "Perfect Edges" with Argon oil.  It works without any flaking or the hair getting hard, and last all day.

This helps with the edges where the lace edges sit on and blends very well into the hairline.

Miss Carrie i learned make a wig last for a long time thanks to the suggestions of the ladies in the Wig Section.  My staple for synthetic wigs is fabric softener for synthetics.  With Full Head wigs, i was told they will last a few weeks?  Nope, mines last for several months.

This is my first lace wig,  i've had the Ozone 012 for over a month.  A good soak in a light shampoo fabric softener has been a big help in preserving it.  My greatest fear is the lace getting too soft or tearing.  No problems so far.

When i'm ready to trash it?  i'll post, but i think it might be a very long time.Smile

Femme, I'm gonna look into that Perfect edges. Thanks. I'm a 4 mix (a, b, AND C) I usually go with coarser wig textures so it just looks like my hair is starting to revert at the roots with that little pull out.

Speaking of nice hairlines and soft lace. I JUST bought Misso 308 from Misswigs.com. I've worn their wigs before, but they were the hard lace ones. I'll see how long I can get this one to last.

I have a 28 inch lace wig that I end up rewashing because the curl pattern I put in it using my curling wand looked horrible. I have the hardest time curling long hair. When I curl the hair the wave just seem to start mid length and looks ridiculous. Maybe I am using too small of a curl wand size. Am I the only one that has that problem with long hair and curling. If you are wondering I have the cortex 4 in one set and I used the 3/4 inch wand for the curls that I ended up hating

Miss Carrie?  Does that elastic band pull out 4c hair? or rub the hair over a period of time?

I looked up Misso 308, that looks almost like the Nix and Nox "Ocean" wig that i like.  They didn't have my color in stock, so i had to go with the Nix and Nox "Maple".. the curls are lot looser.

Either way, the Misso 308 is very pretty, and i like the hairline!Smile

i was on call last night and grabbed the wrong wig..

i know i must have come in looking all kinds of crazy at 2:00 in the morning.  I grabbed a layered straight wig (glueless lace) and put it on. What was worse i have these allergies.  thus, I had taken some "Kid's Benadryl" to get a few hours of sleep. Bad idea if you're on call.

I usually wear a wavy wig in a bun?

I tried putting that straight layered wig in a bun, and the layers just kept coming out of the bun i had carefully pinned up at the nape.

Yep.. those mexicans (the night crew in the Emergency Room) couldn't figure out how i went from wavy to straight in the last 8 hours...and they stared, some laughed..

With that Benadryl hang over, and the tousled wig look, i must have looked like Whitney when she got "caught on camera" on her way to the liquor store.Ouch
