Either my skin is purging because I applied grape seed oil on my face, this is an inferior oil, or my skin doesn't like grape seed oil. Meanwhile I just ordered some Retin A Micro.

what's the difference between papaya and kojic soap?

Papaya contains enzymes called papain, which incidentally can be used to tenderize meats. But kiwis, pineapples, and other acidic fruits can do the same thing. Kojic acid comes from a specific mushroom or fungus called koji in Japanese. In my experience, papaya/papain irritates the hell out my skin compared to kojic acid.

thank you

Midna (and anyone else) could you speak more on pre-peel skin prep (weeks before not minutes before) you mentioned doing____ in the BIG skin peel thread but I don't recall what it was. Also post peel skin healing renewing protection etc. Any comment on MUAC and other Commercial peels vs DIY peels would be appreciated. are the other ingredients added to comm. peels worth the price? Has anyone done a body peel?

But give that girl some exfoliation, vitamin c, and sunblock!

Girrlll.. it's past that. But she definitely needs to start using those as well. I've told my friend with a less severe degree of discoloration on her cheeks to start exfoliating and using sunscreen, but nooo she doesn't want to listen.

My face is 95% back to normal.
The only thing left, other than a few tiny patches of dead peeling skin, is the pigment to return on my cupid's bow.
It hasn't returned yet and is taking its time.
Until a full week or two has passed, I won't worry. The skin does not look damaged in any way but I just think because the skin is thinner, the peel was deeper there.

Oh and the dark marks faded beeeeautifully! I love the TCA peel. Definitely not a peel to be used often, but when it's used, it packs a punch.
