Did a henna treatment the other day. It was fabulous. I used Nupur henna and added more neem (I was about to start drawing blood the way my scalp was itchy and flaky) and orange powder in hopes of helping with the smell. I mixed it with AVJ and added vatika oil right before I applied it. Gave myself a nice scalp massage before covering up. I was able to get it out by letting the water over it. Used TJ's Nourish Spa as my co-wash. My hair felt like butter when I was done. The coils were defined in a way I've never experienced. In hindsight I would have stopped there and applied my LOC products, but I decided to do a conditioning treatment afterwards. *Sigh* I still have powder granules in my hair right now.

When I make, and use, my homemade mud wash I'll decide what to do about conditioning then. Using powders in my conditioner didn't work for me. Despite that, it was a good experience overall.

Why didn't I try VO5 along time ago. I've been sitting out in the hot sun and my hair still doesn't feel dried out. My fingers and hair didn't even have that funny stripped feeling after I slicked it through my hair, like they do with Suave.

Suave did have lactic acid pretty high on the ingredients list. Maybe that's why. :/

Spent some time looking for SSk's and split ends, found only a couple of each. I will take that as a very good thing

Co-washed with VO5 Moisture Milks today. Still have some shedding, but not as much as before. Will have to D/C this weekend to get this under control, or I would have nothing to braid

Luv and Cleo not feeling each other
She forgot whose the mom and whose the daughter
She's showing bipolar tendencies
I know she needs and intervention & some therapy
Right now she only gets the basics from me
She's on time out -no, correction-I just sent her out to get a switch from the tree

Still doing the Sulfa/MN Challenge. This is day-3. No Henna for a month, I will be using the color difference to check my growth progress .
Looking forward to doing an intense (in my humble opinion) D/C tomorrow
