Can we start a thread called Ways to use heat?

I want to learn and share ideas about heat deep conditioning, blowdrying for stretching, straightening, transitioning.  Does anyone else think it would be a good idea?

Kris, sounds like a good idea!

I'm enjoying Cleo straight for awhile. I'm getting ready to plait her up for a plait out. Folks can be silly when a chick has some hair though.

So I rinsed my condish out this morning....SURPRISE, SURPRISE . What hair came out can actually be counted (5). I have been keeping things pretty simple, so I need to write down my regimen (and mixes) to be consistent.

So after doing the ghe I know what's it's like to have moisturized hair all the time my fault though cause I would only do the loc method on wash day.

Happy all my dyed ends are gone hope I'll never dye it again but get that itch just can't stand how the ends look after no retouch.

Guess I'll put flat ironing off till may.

Thinking of plaiting Cleo up again and rolling with my flexi rods. This time around I will use some product for more hold and longer style.

So I am just figuring out the moisture/protein balance for my hair .
I normally avoided products with protein because they may my hair stiff. However, recently I discovered that my hair is soft and 'springy' after a protein treatment.
I guess when my hair got stiff after using protein, it just did not need protein at that time .
Makes me wonder if some(or all)of my recent hair loss was due to too much moisturization.
