Holy sh*te!  I haven't combed my hair in about a week and you should have seen the hairball I created.

Nars, i thought that it was okay not to comb all the time, anyway.

low manipulation, right? i do a take down and comb every 2 weeks, maybe 4..

i envy the ladies who have "dime sized" hair balls..

I only get that if i did a take down every day and combed out.

but i really don't think my hair likes to be manipulated that much..

So I've been using an ayurvedic tea as the "water" in my moisturizing spray mix and I can totally see a difference.  I can't remember what I used when I brewed the tea but I know Hibiscus was in it.  I also think I used Brahmi since it's an awesome conditioner.  I've been using 80% tea, 10% AVJ and a few squirts of Grapeseed oil.  I add a few drops of Lavender oil and Sweet Orange oil for scent.

My hair has a shine to it now.  I think I will continue to use the tea.

I brew it,  put it in an old spaghetti sauce jar and then refrigerate it.

black strap molasses.. i mean, who knew?

every time, i get on this forum, i learn something.

Unfortunately, i was going through a lot of stress at work, and pulled out a patch of hair over my ear.. i just kept messing with it for no reason.  a week later, when i did a "forward up do", i realized what i had done.Confused

At first i started looking at the hard water, hair supplements, and realized.. You know? the rest of your hair is growing out very nicely.  Nothing "broke off"... you just kept pulling at it, remember?

All i can say is, i'm grateful for protective styles.  because when i'm stressed? it "protects" my hair from me doing damage to it.
