I am going to cut my hair in the Spring. I just don't want long hair as much as I thought. Too much to take care of.

I have taken the time to pamper my hair earlier this week. My hair is back to a bit past my shoulders while stretched, so I basically missed out on a year of growth retention potential,(it's the same length as when the hairdresser I went to while on vacation cut it back in January) but I already suspected that would happen. Also dusted some ends. But I am back on track and ready for 2013 and beyond. Plus side right now...no knots at the moment, hope I can prevent them from forming without having to keep my hair in a stretched style all the time.
@Rum Owh, how short? pics once it's done if you are sure about going through with it. I understand the struggles of keeping up with longer hair, it can be demanding with everything else going on. And cute shorter hairstyles can be tempting.

Getting ready to pamper Cleo with an overnight protein dc. Tomorrow, I'll cowash, moisturize, band 4 ponies to stretch and dry, blowdry, and flatiron.

Washed my wig last night, so I also took the chance to take down my cornrows and wash my naps. I had a gloriously nappy braidout afro. My hurr's growing!
Now, to braid it back up . . .

LoL! I always seem to come back to one of Femme's gems! LoL Happy Holidays, ladies!! Life's been a lil hectic and not slowing down anytime soon. I've missed you guys. I was up until 2 AM doing a light flat iron, aka faux blowout LoL. I was so tired that I put my hair into 4 bantu knots and messed up any chance of a good blowout shot for you guys but I do have length shots. Is there an EOTY photo thread? Lemme see..

Go Swift! And what a coincidence, I have flat-ironed my hair this week as well(been a long time) after the necessary pampering(I hadn't put the hair dryer to use as yet), but rain decided to interfere with my plans(It literally started raining as soon as I stepped out, I kid you not!!! ). I didn't have enough time to flat-iron in smaller sections so it was an easier target. But I've been putting it in two braids to reduce frizz without applying heat and create waves so that my heat exposure was not in vain and my hair remains presentable. I am also happy to say that the hair dryer(Owh wait...it's called a hair hood, a satin hair hood) straightens most of my hair within the hour, so that cuts away so much time for me and also so much less heat than having to flat-iron it after air drying or blow drying braids.
