Shampoo--Shea Moisture black label shampoo mixed in an applicator bottle with ACV and tea tree oil. Conditioner--Shea Moisture black label masque.

In a bonnet dryer for a lil while then all rinsed out. Will update with results.

Styler--Shea Moisture pink label conditioner. I can def feel the coconut oil in this one and I don't like coconut oil all that much. It's okay as a detangler though. I'd repurchase.

I gave up on finishing my twists tonight. I banded the rest of my hair for easy detangling later. I guess today will be a beanie day. Detangling is such a beyotch when you have weeks' worth of shed hair...ugh...now I see why I keep my hair in twists...

I think I wanna do a twist out with these twists. After the hassle I had detangling from my last round of afros and puffs I wanna keep my hair stretched for a few weeks. Hmm... a personal challenge, perhaps?

My hair feels short today. I have it in some big ugly two strand twists. The twists themselves are cute but I guess since I slept on them they are sticking out all over my head looking short, sparse, and ugly. The first time I've had negative thoughts about my hair since I went natural.

this is my first time ever going a month without weave since going natural. i transitioned for about two/two and a half years and then finally cut off the raggedy ends. i'm at a place where i like it but i still don't love it. maybe when i figure out what to do with it and what products my hair likes/dislikes i will love it.

How long is your real hair?

If you two strand twist without rolling each side of your twists for the kinky twist look, you will get more shrinkage but you will also get a tighter hold and a firmer twist and a more uniform look from top to bottom. The twists will also look more like locs. After I take these twists out I'm gonna redo them and make them smaller to get the look I want.

I had no idea a twist out could last this long. I shall be expanding my style repertoire.

I don't rinse out Shea Moisture conditioners anymore. In fact, I don't use them as conditioners. They are far too precious. I use them as stylers now.

when straightened it's shoulder length. but when wet my back looks like a low fro and my top is to my ears. the back gets really rough and matted. i tried a twist out once a few days ago but didnt use many products (was just bored one night) and they came out cute in some areas, raggedy in other. if i can find the pic ill show it.

Maybe you should try working with your hair more often to get the hang of it.
