Sorry if I'm asking too many questions. How was being texturized? Did you like it?
I'm thinking about cutting my hair and getting a texturizer (I've been thinking of doing this for a while.) The problem is Im lazy/busy and no matter how I have my hair I know Im not going to be putting in much time.
i loved being texturized until i didnt love it any more
i loved the bouncy curls that i got from the texturizer. i liked being able to wash my hair without sectioning in 10 minutes and walk out the door. i liked never needing to set my hair, plan out wash sessions in advance or think about my hair at the beach. the problem was it just couldnt be sustained because over the years the hair would get looser and looser (my stylist would do a yearly comb-thru). so i went from bouncy natural looking curls to funky ass waves. my whole intention for transitioning was to re-texturize back to the state i enjoyed but i ended up falling in love with my natural hair texture and decided to just stay with it.
i dont miss detangling matted texturized hair. it didnt happen often but if my hair for some reason got matted it was a nightmare to detangle. i dont miss touch ups and depending on someone else or chemical to get my hair to act right. and i really dont miss that heifer giving me scalp burns.
if i had known what a pain in the ass transitioning would be i probably would have never texturized in the first place but i really didnt do research or think it through. for some reason i had it my head that if i didnt like i just wouldnt do again and not really knowing what that entailed.
