Tatee, when you do hot oil treatments do you just put the oil in the microwave?

i was looking up which oils i should use (like for moisture or frizz or strength etc..) and it said dont put it in the microwave cus it kills the nutrients.. then i was like oh yea.. microwaves really do do that..

but putting it in a bottle then boiling seems like a lot..

sometimes i do if i dont want sit with a cap but just to warm it up.  i just get it warm enough that i can still apply it with my hands.  im not trying to pour a hot liquid over my headLOL  and im pretty sure i dont believe in putting nutrients on hair.

lp isnt more of a problem than high or medium.  you just have to know different techniques.

okay thanks.

ill just microwave too. thats too much work anyways but i need my hair to flourish so ill do extra if its necessary..

eta, it seems like more of a problem to me.. they can just put stuff in their hair and get moisture..
we have to heat it up to open our pores or follicles or whatever..
when im just trying to put a little somethin on my head before bed… no one wants to go microwave.

and my hair is really dry.. so it needs it.
maybe ill get used to it though..

i woke up early this morning and took it as a sign to finally wash my hair.  it even crossed my mind for a quick second to straighten it and give my self a good trim but i quickly aborted those foolish notions.  i ended up just twisting it up in about 16 twists and with rods on the ends.

we have to open our cuticles and they have to close theirs.  its just different techniques for different sides of the spectrum.  i only really focus on lp on wash days.  other than that i dont really think about it except for baggying occasionally but even that ive always done.

is microwaving products working for you?

ugh…
i would love to keep this on over night but its already really bothering me..

i wanna find some tape to tape the shower cap down so i wont have oil cascading down my face
nvm i think i fixed that. i put a plastic bag over it and tied it snuggly with a hair tie
