but i think in a few ways it can be helpful.. like why would i do what a 3a does when our hair is so different..?
i agree knowing porosity is more beneficial though
i wish my hair wasnt thin/fine too
but that not true tho. if you looked up 3a on youtube youd see different types of 3a. and the same would be true for any hair type you chose. youd most likely pick someone whose hair is closer to your own. a person with thin/fine 4a hair isnt the same as a person with 4a thick coarse hair. and even then you dont have enough information to go on. so you will more than likely end up looking at different people with different texture simply because everyone is unique. it so odd to me that people think that our hair is so cookie cutter. if that were true then why wouldnt every one with a particular hair type be able you use the same products, hair tools and perform the same styles.
its like someone telling you theyre are 125lbs and you think you know what they look like based on that information alone but you dont take into consideration, fat distribution, body proportion and height. is the person 125lb at 4'11 or 5'10.
i actually really like my hair the way it is. it works for me because i like and need simplicity. i also hate the feel of hair touching me so i like buns and ponies. there was a split second were i lost my mind and desired thicker hair until i actually realized that it meant more work and those flames were quick extinguished.
