Good luck.  I tried using Onion juice, but had to stop because I can't keep up with washing my hair that often.  While using it I did notice some improvement.

Thanks Benni! I had great results with onion juice too but the smell lingers and got worse after every use.

Im thinking of buying aphogee to mix with meg tek since i got the new formula. Its been 4 years so I didnt trust any of the sites claiming to still sell the original

I've been on my new regimen for over a week now and I've noticed an increase in growth but no thickness yet. I'd say I've grown maybe 1/4" I do not like rogaine, I feel like its making me shed more but I'm going to try it for the min of 6 weeks (i got the 5%) before ditching it and switching it for sulfur oil. I have my hair up in braids now and I plan on keeping this pattern for at least 2 weeks before taking it down and DCing then doing a new pattern.

I took 5 yrs to finally figure how best to deal with my hair.. More is not always best Embarrassed.  I don't normally wear my hair 'out' because it has thinned so much, wigs became the thing to do.  When I wash my hair it was immediately braided because I did not like 'the look'.  My hair is long, but thin, not attractive to me. I piled on too much product.  This weekend however, I applied less of everything and was so pleased with the way my hair looked, I wore it 'out' for a day,  but put it back in threads because I could not keep my hand out of it LOL.  Still hoping to remedy some of the thinning, but the wash and go is not as bad anymore.Clap ClapClap

I'm glad for the fact that my hair is longer that what it was last year. I am now a little past SL making my way to BSL.Right now I am on biotin and I will be on biotin this whole month. Right now it's all about making sure I take my biotin every day, drinking lots of water and eating healthy. Once I take this sew in out in early March hopefully I will be at BSL. I don't know why the journey from SL to BSL is taking so long. I just need to make sure I stay on biotin and I keep deep conditioning and moisturizing my hair as my hair loves moisture. Happy hair growing to me!

Thoughts:
-I have about 3 weeks left with my sew-in.
-I miss my braids.
-I can't really tell if this biotin is working. I hope it is.
-I also can't wait to get some Cantu Shea Butter. My hair loves that stuff.
-Pretty soon I'm going to need to buy some more biotin.
-I feel like if I keep consistently taking biotin I will reach mid-back length.
-I'm glad my biotin isn't making me break out severely.
-I need to get a trim at some point this year. I can't have my ends looking scraggly.

I am absolutely loving my new hair regiment. Shampoo w/ sulfate free shampoo or co-wash, use Lee Stafford Hair Mask. Air dry the hair after smoothing with the Wet Brush (LOVE it). Apply Neem oil to scalp and do inversion massage to scalp for 15 minutes. Apply neem oil to ends also like a serum. Brush hair smoothly into a top knot and cover head with a satin bonnet to sleep. I take a 10,000 mcg biotin tablet and a 400 mcg folic acid tablet daily. I am also not coloring my gray hair for 3-6 months at a time and using temporary color sprays on the roots in the interim when necessary. I do not wash out the neem oil daily. I love using it a few times a week like a serum and for the scalp massage. Sleeping with my hair in a top knot is like getting a Victoria Secret model professional hairstyle treatment overnight. When I take the hair out of the top knot it looks like I had it round brushed or wet set on jumbo rollers and styled. I LOVE this super easy routine. The neem oil really heals the hair, makes it look like a mink and is supposed to contribute to great growth.
PS For short, thick or tight texture hair, you can do several bantu knots instead of one top knot. As for my diet, I am eating some fish regularly but otherwise vegan. (cans of mackerel from the one dollar store are a regular for me) I am going to start eating kimchi daily with each meal like the Koreans do. They have jars of it at Walmart, but I am going to start making my own with fresh cabbage from recipes on youtube. I also love hummus. I make the hummus myself by boiling chickpeas and tossing them in the blender. (I use a youtube recipe called how to make hummus better than store bought... or something like that. I LOAD my hummus with twice the recommended cummin and garlic. I use sesame oil or a bit of peanut butter if I don't have tahini. I add a can of mackerel, salmon or tuna to my homemade hummus and just eat it on tortillas like a tortilla roll. I keep a batch of mackerel hummus in the fridge in tupperware with a pack of tortillas. Add a piece of fruit and I'm good for the day. Other times, I will make a pot of rice and add some tumeric to it for its health benefits. I will add a bag of peas and carrots, and a can of mackerel to the pot of rice as it's cooking and add a bunch of broccoli at the end and cover with a lid to let the broccoli steam at the end without overcooking. Shrimp and spring onions would go good in that to to make shrimp fried rice without all the oil. I also sungaze and basically eat one meal a day. Look up Dr Nun Amen Ra and HIRA MANEK on youtube. There is also a thing called a kimchi hummus sandwich. Who would have thought? Love it!
