I just realized that when I do a S & D recently, I don't see any split ends. Only the occasional SSK.
Keeping those ends moisturized and using a heavy oil or butter to seal seems to be working.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize

My hair is doing great. I am noticing lots of new growth which I hope is from where I had so much fallout last Summer.
I continue to massage my scalp every other night with JBCO/Cayenne mix.
GHE nightly. Not sure what is working, so I will continue to do what I have been doing.

I may have to stop GHE at night, and just use a satin/silk scarf.
I noticed that my hair is adopting a musty odor after a night of GHE.

When I massage with JBCO, I will do that early in the day so it will have time to absorb thoroughly, and I will not have to worry about it getting onto my pillow.

Learning to use a 'lighter' hand with my products.

Want to leave my alone for atleast 2 weeks but I've become use to doing something to it everyday...hair shedding less since gelatin treatment so must do them more frequently...wished i didn't get headaches from bunning.

Learned a valuable lesson
I did not 'properly' seal my highly porous hair last night after co-washing.
This morning, anxious to massage my scalp with newly made Sulfur Oil, I did not pay attention to my obviously dry hair.
Ignored the sound of my hair while massaging.
Ignored the 2 strands of hair that came out on my fingers while massaging.
When I take these braids out, I wonder how many of those fallen strands I can attribute to massaging too dried hair.

I backslid from my no heat challenge this week when  I blow dried and flat ironed. It ended up being a total waste of time and energy anyhow because my hair started drawing up before a couple of hours had gone by!
Back to my roller sets and buns from now on Ouch
