As for Adele, she is holding back these days, before she made it internationally she was invited to this local Dutch show and I was impressed with her voice at the time.
However, I agree that she has nothing on some choirs in the U.S.A.
I still remember that boy from the Mississippi mass children's choir, Bryan Wilson,"His eye is on the sparrow" hasn't been the same to me since! Was looking for Lauryn Hill and Tanya Blount's version to practice with on Napster at the time and came across that version of the song I was blown away!

And I agree, Taylor Swift should stick to acting and songwriting in my opinion because her voice is average, any girl with a southern accent that can hold a tune will sound like her.

But at least she can hold a tune, Lumidee could not even hold the tune for two "words" uh and oh...

I am glad for internet, whenever the radio and television fail at delivering talent, internet will find me some hahaha.

of all the people i wish would just stay out of the natural section? it would be Veemack. i don't know if she's trying to be impressive, or need admiration.

i posted an old link as a "reminder" for one of the forum members  who responded regarding Vitamin D deficiency.

Here comes big as*&* Veemanic Depressive trying to impress with some information way out from left field..that nothing to do what we were talking about.. Confused

I mean, really?

why she does this, i don't know..

stalking forum members (specifically Tatee - Veemack definitely has a "thing" for her),

checking to see who's posting so that she can "out-post" them,

posting under different names in order to "draw" followers to her "Challenges".. some one elses material - usually..

arguing with folks who know what their talking about - then 3-6 months later, using that same material which she was opposing and pretending she's the one that "came up with it" in the first place..what gives?

do you need admiration, or customers that badly to the point of being a total Jack As*(*?

And what's worse, claims to be a "gawd fearing sistah"..what a crock of sh&*&t..

a gawd fearing, multiple personality, insecure beautician looking for attention..

in order other words?  "Shandra 2"...

here we have the "Vitamins for Growth" Challenge.. started by the one and only Veemanic Depressive - who goes by several different forum names to garner followers.

about 4 months ago.  A forum member by the name of Talia started a thread in the Growth section about certain vitamins for hair growth.

Yours Truly (VeeManic) strolled in there with her Bible Thumping Tactic (Blessings!!!!!) and argued stating: "Supplements are a waste of money."  that we were basically "Throwing our money away" .. She argued that we can get all of the nutrients needed from the foods we eat.

Several members told her she was wrong, including myself - stating that we would have to eat Pounds of food to receive even the mininum vitamin requirements.

Well she ran out of the thread as usual..

Then 4 months later?   Tah Dah!   Look ma' no research!!  Here's the "Vitamins for Growth" Challenge - started by guess who?  VeeManic Depressive.

okay, i've finished venting .. back to the Atlas Shrugged..

i know, Nars, i read over 600 pages of it, then tried speed reading the last 400 while i was too tired to finish. Thus, i decided to go back and read the rest of the book properly.

though it is a huge TOME of a book, i really appreciate the Nuances of the characters.  Hank Rearden is definitely my hero.  But then again, Francisco D'anconia  who's actually a genius.

Then the old professor who loves the genius rebels as if they were his sons.  His talking to Dagny Ta rt, and suddenly yells "Ragnar!  don't sit on the ground!"  it's cute..

and of course? John Galt.

I will definitely check it out.  I could have sworn I have "Atlas Shrugged" but it is no biggie renting it from the library.  Meanwhile the last book I read and couldn't finish was "American Psycho".  It wasn't the depraved level of misogyny, graphic violence, etc.  It was the way he described in meticulous details in what each character was wearing, what store they got it from, the freaking thread count in the sheets, the schematics of various electronics the characters owned.  It was just too much.   Now I can honestly say that I love details but this jackass of a writer was spoonfeeding it to his reader and to me, it didn't help in terms of character development.

I honestly think he did that to fill up the pages to folks wouldn't feel bad about spending that much money on a empty book.  I mean goodness that book was God awful.  I managed to slog through his other book "Less Than Zero" and that book wasn't that great.

Going back to Taylor Swift, honestly I cannot take her seriously as an artist because the maturity level of her work comes off as a overly dramatic, self-absorbed 12 year old and I am consistently shocked when they mention her age.

The strangest thing about the author who wrote American Psycho and Less than Zero?  The movies were much more popular than his books.

In American Psycho, he tries to emphasize the need for status, status, status.. this the intricate detail of what's involved.  Since i've been around that crowd, i was surprised at how picky they are about thread counts in the sheets, wear someone bought their suitcases, or bags - and how you are judged by it.. Even the business cards..

If you're going to rent Atlas Shrugged from the library and plan on reading it in detail, you'll have to extend on the date.  She, too is guilty of waaaaay to much detail regarding - not running a railroad - but the railroad POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.

It's as if she picked up a policy and procedure manual from the local rail road company and used most of it in her book...Confused
