basically, if you do public schools live in a top school district, hire tutors if needed, get your kids in honor classes and other after school scholastic programs in order to be on par with a good private school

I still think this is cheaper than tuition at a private school and you still may need the tutors and other programs if you go private

lol poor kids don't get SAT prep

I got waitlisted for a good east coast university and had to meet with an alumni... she told me my SAT scores were just as high as the other kids who were accepted but there I was, being interviewed lol... I wasn't from a "poor" neighbourhood either... I got in. maybe its a black thing

we had a free SAT prep elective when I was in high school

I took it and the class was pretty diverse from what I can remember

but most kids end up going to college or a trade in my county

hmmmm there weren't many black kids in my prep but my honors/ap and Saturday classes were mixed with us and Hispanics. I believe the kids in those classes were the only ones to go to school tho. smh

well yea i guess it depends on my area.. i may live near a great public school.. i still feel like ill lean more towards private. Like what samone posted.. i think private offers more than just more advanced academics.. theres other things that i think it has that most publics dont.

i also like how small some of the classes are in private schools..

if money is a problem ill work with them and get them tutors.. if money is no option they will attend the best.

everyone isn't ready for college at 17 and 18 (maturity issues, money, family problems, etc.)

of the black kids that didn't go right after school it looks like a good number have decided to go back now and are getting bachelors and master's degrees (I know thanks to facebook)

I use KeraCare products for his hair thanks to Mizz00/sandy…
Distilled water spray with rose absolute in jojoba oil (thanks-tatee) and very little sunflower oil to L.O.C. it all in.

It works and sometimes ---I use Hawaiian Silky miracle worker 14-1 for the C.
In the L.O.C. method only for his hair...

Usually in a better area the property taxes are higher and so is rent, Junior did both and we both prefer private. He can't live with me forever and he sure as hell cant move in his baby momma and a MTV teen mom crew so he knows he better get and keep his life.

we both have our funny acting ways so its works better for us...
