when i wash my hair i sometimes put my hair in 4 braids then wash or i

wash it unbraided with my hair hanging over my face in the sink. is

there any better ways to wash hair. my hair doesnt get as tangled

when i braid it, but i feel as though my scalp isnt getting as clean. And

when i leave my hair unbraided, my hair is so tangled when i get done

washing it.

under shower and also a little trick I do is to only braid like the last 2 inches of my hair. So the rest is like a big poof section that I can easily get my fingers in to clean my scalp but the braids on the ends keep my hair under control. HTH

I dilute the shampoo into an empty spray bottle with water

First I make about 8 braids, then spray the mixture on the scalp and massage it in well at each section and rebraid

Then I get in the shower and rinse each braided section

I use to twists too but they always come out once I rinse my hair out. How do you keep them in? Rubber-bands? I guess I'm just too lazy to do all that un twisting and re-twisting, lol

I was thinking the same thing. when i use to braid my hair to wash it, the braids would always come undone. so im curious to know, how do u keep them from coming undone?

^do them in 4 or 8. or start halfway down the length of your hair and go to the ends. elastics if needed. i thought the unraveling was normal and i like playing in my hair anyways

When my hair was loose, I used to wash in 5 large twists...the unravelling and ravelling was causing too much manipulation for me and tangling.  I now wash my hair loose...rinse hair with ayurvedic tea, pin hair up, complete shower duties and rinse tea out and pin hair back up before I leave the shower.

Wrap hair in towel, dry off and apply dc...sit under dryer for 1/2 hour and let it sit another 1/2 hour, jump back into the shower to rinse off.  While rinsing, twist hair in 5 large twists and pin up.

It's a pain jumping back and forth in the shower, but hey, it works for me.
