Not sure if it is because I am on my phone or what, but I've been trying to figure it where to get a scarf to the my hair up with. Where do girls get those kinda decorative ones, you know the black girls wear with designs it's cute on some. I never knew where to get them and I really need something cuter to go to sleep in besides the satin ones in the store. Do they get them from the beauty supply?

I haven't had much luck finding pretty scarves or headwraps that are reasonably priced so I go to fabric stores like Joanne's, A.C. Moore, or Hobby Lobby, etc, pick out material I like and purchase a few yards.

Fabrics with stretch (spandex) seem to stay on best. Cotton fabrics should be avoided because they sometimes absorb moisture from the hair.

A piece of satin or silk material would make a decent night scarf.

My local beauty store had a lot of scarves there a couple of months ago.  But Oh-Em-Vee idea of going to the fabric stores is a great idea.  That never crossed my mind to go a fabric store to find fabric...LOL

It crossed mines and when I went there they only had satin-y type fabric and nothing
I really wanted. The fabric I bought slipped off my head it was so smooth it never stays on lol. Ill try some other stores. I went to Joann's. ill try something different this time. I bought a scarf from the BSS before and it wasn't the material I was looking for. I'm looking for the scarves black girls the their hair up with and they can put a bow or knot in the front.or a nice piece of silk fabric or a scarf.

I honestly mostly get mine from ebay. I search for silk scarves or hijabs.
The fabric store is a nice idea!
