ok but if you're talking about the Southern Europeans having black DNA you really can't be dismissive of OP. those white are likely just as "mixed" as the West Africans she mentioned. Those Euros are white, those Africans are black despite whatever "mix" might have occurred eons ago.

I wonder where Caucasians get their genetics. They surely evolved by themselves so I wonder how we are genetically the same. Too many questions.

I think this is a good question I never really thought about it, but just in general I know that a lot of you are very smart educated individuals but, not anyone knows everything you might know so, you don't have come off rude. We learn new things everyday and we all don't have the answers to everything. Rant over lol.

That observation pretty much puts everything into perspective. But honestly, what's most telling to me is why BHM and it seems, black people of all ethnicities are so obsessed with this question. For all the resentment that is being expressed towards whitey, people sure are desperate to prove at any cost that they can naturally look like them without never having been in contact with them. That in itself is fucced up. |
The think the difference is that many Africans dont walk around claiming their whiteness or any spec of it's like some badge of honor...Sure blacks everywhere have their skin issues, however, you ain't finna hear a Nigerian going on about how they have "good hair" because their great great great great grandfather who they dont even know and was a slave master was Portuguese...There are mad direct halfies in Nigeria that hiss their teef if you try to tell them they are not Nigerian...
There was a video of a light Nigerian girl on WSHH last week, she was beautiful, and clearly looked Nigerian. The Africans did the typical questioning of her tribe, because this is what we do we are aware of the tribe looks, and then her accent. While the yankies were like she cant be African, or she is a fake one, or she has to be mixed because she is light, and beautiful...This is the difference here...

I get what you are saying, but some of the people don't look like them at all. I feel like some AA's think if a someone isn't the darkest tone on the planet, it's impossible that they are "pure."

i actually don't think i think about skin tone until these type of questions pop up...very rarely. it's probably bc i don't have 1 standard of beauty or 1 type as far as dark medium or light.

Why does it even matter ? Being light skin means that you are not a pur African. Such nonsense in this thread.

Exactly, and any rebuttal just plays off the "whole world is mixed" reply

Rant over lol. | It wasn't directed to you or SweetNovember but some of the don't know at all who think they know it all but if you ask them anything about genetics they would look at you funny. Here is one drop, the pygmies and the San people together genetic makeup makes up at least over 80 percent of all human ethnicities. That's from 2 groups in Africa. That's insane thinking no African cannot be naturally light skin. The Europeans ancestors were Africans who left Africa.
