The ever-changing face of Lil' Kim: Queen Bee goes on the promo trail in NYC in a huge fur coat

Her ever changing appearance has drawn attention away from her music - but if Lil' Kim minded she didn't seem to show it as she headed to New York to promote her comeback album.

The 38-year-old opted for a huge fur coat over her tight leather dress as he headed into MTV studios to film Rap Fix Live - showing off her remarkably smooth skin.

Fans of the Put Your Lighters Up rapper didn't seem to notice her startling appearance and took to Twitter to commend the tiny brunette. with one user writing: 'QUEEN WE LOVE YOU Nicki Minaj is trash.'

The Lady Marmalade star topped off her fierce look with lashings of red lipstick,  some thick false lashes and a chunky gold necklace.

Her hair was loose around her shoulders and she seemed relaxed when she appeared on the show, unlike when she was questioned over her potential surgery last year on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club.

The pint-sized star got offended when quizzed about the subject, saying: 'Why would you ask me that?'

Not receptive: Lil' Kim has refused to answer any questions over rumoured plastic surgery - saying in one interview: 'Why would you ask me that?'

'Lil' Kim seems to have undergone significant alteration of her face, and not for the better," Dr. Boris Ackerman, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Newport Beach, CA told the New York Daily News.

'It looks like she had her nose operated to make it her nostrils look more narrow. Her facial features like her cheeks and especially her jaw line are essentially unrecognizable,'said Ackerman.

'She also appears to have her upper eyelids operated on,' he added. 'Her skin has undergone a significant amount of lightening, which can be done with combination of chemical peel and skin lightening creams.'

Lil' Kim recently made headlines after collaborating on a music video with Miley Cyrus.

The pop star shot a cameo in a clip for Lil' Kim and her protege Tiffany Foxx last Saturday.

The three fierce ladies posed for a series of photos before beginning work on the video for Foxx's single Twisted at a private Hollywood Hills residence.

The 20-year-old actress-singer covered her platinum pixie cut with a black beanie and flaunted her Pilates-toned stomach in punk-inspired striped skinny jeans by Motel Rocks.

The former Disney star teamed her Beetlejuice trousers with a black crop-top, leather jacket, Oxford shoes, and lots of gold jewelry.
