Hey Ladies,

I have a client coming in a couple of weeks for a "Quickweave"...I know how to do the service but I rarely have anyone reqeusting it, so I just want to know what is the proper cap I need to use.  Would I be using a stocking cap?  Thanks

Yes you will use a stocking cap. If you go to the beauty supply store it might say (wig cap)

there is a difference between a quickweave and a stockingcap weave...quick weave the hair is molded and the tracks are glued ontop of the molded base...a stockingcap weave is where the stocking cap is used..sometimes these terms are interchangeable but really they are two different methods...i would ask the client which service she would like before buying supplies...unless she mentioned the stockingcap

Yes some don't want the cap quick weave some want it glued on top of the molded hair. I know I didn't prefer the cap and I got mine down on my molded hair with sanex paper so the glue was not actually on my hair.

Thanks, so much...because she was the one that mentioned the quickweave w/the stocking cap and I tried to get as clear as I could as to what she wanted..I will double check, though...thanks ladies.

I went back to the emails from her and she states that she wants her hair braided down and the hair bonded to the cap.

^some use that nasty brown gel and you mold the hair as you normally would and take black sanex or white sanex paper and wrap the head like a mummy almost while the hair is still wet with gel and you sit under the dryer until its dry and when its time to take it out the glue is not really stick on your hair and you just peel it off. Hth

Another method that was used it fantasia liquid mouse spritz and she would spray my hair down with that and sit me under the dryer and that method made my quick weaves last a bit longer but keep in mind I was very gentle when removing any hair I use mineral oil to avoid tearing me hair out of my scalp. Its messy but it works wonders for me

You would need a stocking cap, foaming wrap lotion or gel and spritz on the glue to make the tracks hold longer. Be sure not to start gluing the hair until her hair is totally dry or it will mildewDead I don't like to use a lot of the wet products so it doesn't take a long time to drySmile
