After reading this thread i'm confused as hell...dunno what side to pick. 
Malcom x said black men have managed not to date/marry white woman for 100's years before it was legal, why cant they prevent themselves from falling in love now.
Interesting how the it was a white man, who went to the supreme court to to fight for the right to marry a black woman

A friend of mine told me that black men are desired so much by all the races, that if it weren't for so called societal pressures ( ie. white girls family don't want her to date/marry a black man) we would see more black men with white woman.

A few things then ill float back off in hoverville. As I said again I dont think who a person dates automatically dismisses their voice in the AA community and the issues that affect it. I believe the real issue that AA and MM are speaking off is a combination of the two. When you break it down its more so an argument which came first the chicken or the egg.

As much as MM is saying that black women quick blief of BM cooning and abandoning them revels their deep seeded contempt and lack of respect for black men is the opposite side of the same coin that AA is speaking on. The same could be easily said and supported about "modern" black mans quick dismissal of the claims being a result of their deep seeded contempt and lack of respect for black women. However, lets say this is true about black women.
These feelings dont brew from no where. Why not address the source of the feelings? Are we suggesting that BW are so easily manipulated that they turned their backs on black men while black men just happened to be more opened to IR dating? Even during the CR movement BW role was to just sit quiet and support. The ideal that if BM got their respect then it would trickle down to BW is one many were spoon fed. I believe that in the mist of this Many BW got tired of waiting.

And MM I know you keep saying that the reason that the numbers are so tilted is because WM simply dont approach BW with the same confidence or whatever that BM do but thats false.

Many of these threads often turn into a thread of finger pointing. No one owns  up to their faults as if its a sign of weakness. Instead its a fight over who has had or currently has it worse.
