Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me. I wore my hair in braids for years and it has mostly been fine, as they were never really tight. However the last time I wore breads I did unfortunately experience a lot of breakage! It hasn't grown in a year and I'm wondering if this could be permanent? or if there's anything I should be doing/i'm just not taking care of it properly? Thanks!

I have never really had damage/breakage from braids but the problem I'm having now is that my edges on one side of my head are thinner than the other side. Whenever you take braids out, you should deep condition your hair. Also try Jamaican black castor to thicken your hair up. Biotin is your friend as well. Happy hair growing!

Try a collagen supplement. My favorite is Neocell Powder Collagen. I had really horrible breakage from braids for two summers in a row. This worked better than Viviscal. Saw growth almost immediately.
