It just recently hit me while trying to lose 15-20lbs.  In the past, I'd work out and change how I eat and it would just melt off of me.  But now...shoot, I'm on month 3 of working out/eating healthy and I've only lost 5lbs.

What have y'all noticed about getting older?

Are you creating a calorie deficit within your diet? ie. eating less?

I know you didn't ask that but the nutritionist in me couldn't help but wonder

but i'm actually excited about getting older. i'm ready to get out of this young adult rut

Month 3? 5 pounds?? That doesn't sound right. My mom's getting up there, too and she's lost three pounds in a week by cutting out fatty foods and riding her stationary bike.

I'm conflicted. On one hand I feel accomplished, on the other hand, I feel like a spinster. I feel old and lame, but young and successful all at the same time.

I forgot how to ride a bike.

I can't use the modern skates.

Hot flashes since I turn 21 .

I get really angry when the witness wake me up early.
I can't stand police officers

I need to dye my hair more often . Never dye your hair black at a young age . You will gray early .

I will never marry or date if we divorce .

Give birth by 30 . I have a 9 year old blessing at 50 something .

Racist people remind me to keep bail money .

I can't tolerate ignorance or jealousy .

I notice more parents close to the child age . Makes me sad .

I miss old school Rap .

I use to go out all weekend . I stop partying all night in the clubs at 31 .
I would need oxygen to dance all night non stop .

I could live my life without a Telephone . Why do people call when they are talking to other folk in the house ? I will hang up on you .

I never shop for designer items . I purchase what appeals to me .

Fake smiles make me angry .

My 30s hit me with the bus driver uppercut Ouch

IDGAF~saying things I would have never said in my 20s without a second thought
Cry a lot more; happy tears, sad tears, overwhelmed tears, angry tears, frustrated tears, I don't even know why I'm crying tears
Ridiculous libido
Get irritated way too easily
Let it roll off way more quickly
Cherish moments
Sandwich generation ~aging parents and raising kids
Weight loss? LOLCry What a joke.
I honestly can't believe how much I can drink
Staying up past midnight happens maybe 2-3 times a year
Much less judgmental.
Far more apathetic

Question: are you including strength training when you work out?  Because as you age, like around 25-30, you begin to lose muscle mass.

My skin has become way too sensitive with age. I was never allergic to anything beforeCry
I'm glad that I'm alive, healthy & aging well, but I do miss the carefree days of my youth. Oh well.

Saw an older lady with beautiful gray hair last night.
I'm actually looking forward to my hair turning gray. I'll have big fabulous gray hair.

I feel uncomfortable commenting to one of my nephews about such things , but some ladies never gray in that area . I notice more men with gray private parts as a nurse .

I'm 41 and just bought me first pair of "reading" glasses.  Pinch

Old age is snuck up on me and stole my sight!

I used to be skinny. After turning 30, the weight gain just happened all of a sudden.
I now need reading glasses on top of my contacts for my daily computer use and reading.
I wake up sore. My back mostly.
I can't stay up too late.
I don't have a filter. I go on and say what's on my mind. It's taking my family and friends a while to get used to this.
I don't care about fitting in. Accept me as I am or move on.

- It's very hard to lose weight. I even hired a trainer for a while but now I'm doing this solo. It's like the fat is hanging on for dear life.
- My knees hurt when I have an intense session.
- I don't recover well from all-nighters anymore. I remember being 19 and going clubbing all night, then going to my part-time job on Saturday morning. Ancient times.
- I'm forgetful. This one is creeping me out for later because Alzheimer's does run in my family.
- Reading glasses this year

that has been my only complaint about getting older--needing readers. My vision seemed to change overnight. I still remember the day  LOL it happened. I want my perfect vision back. I have considered lasik but they claim my vision isn't bad enough for it.

Yup.  When you notice sagging, you know its downhill from here and on.  What trips me out is that it's parts that I don't even expect to sag.  Big booty is still on my back but the small tatas are going down.   like WTF?  Why jesus?  Why?CryCryCry

Me too!  Back in January when I bought my Galaxy Tab 3 and tried to register it online.  They asked for the serial number on the back of the battery and I was WTF????  I can't read this shyt! Angry  I had to ask my BFs daughter to read it for me!
