Why don't biracial girls (and men) embrace their white side. They always consider themselves "black"?

The ones i see only use black when its convenient unless they are raised in a purely black family with no white contact.

Meh..ive seen folks sway both ways and down the middle. A great deal of it depends on how they interact with the families.

Um most mixed people don't look white. Black folk however come in all shades so they are more likely to fit in. White only comes in White and if there's anything ethnic about you, they will notice.

Never heard of that. To many mullato is black, like Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey. Embrace all of you!

Because black is versatile, and white isn't.

Here in the US it seems that when you are biracial, you have to embrace one or the other side. Never both. I don't get that, because if you love the whites and blacks in your family, why should you choose? Anyways, I am mixed and I never had this issue, but I am a foreign, and we didn't have lynching and other vile things happening to blacks for almost a century after the end of slavery, so that might be one of the reasons why people have to "choose".

I don't know what kind of biracial people you've been around but all of the ones I known play off of the fact that their mixed. Some of the ones I've known use it as a "bragging right" to make themselves seem more hmmmm "exotic". Lol. Very few nowadays say they’re just Black.
Example:
Jason: Wow, Lisa you’re very pretty. What are you mixed with? Lisa: I'm German, Irish, Italian, Polish, Zambian and Jamaican.
But in actuality Lisa's Mom is a White woman from Minnesota, and her Dad is a Black man from Detroit. So my question is, why not just say you’re mixed with Black & White instead of adding all of these nationalities and countries to your background that you've never been to, nor do your parents have immediate ties to? But if you do have factual proof of all of these ethnicities in your background then cool, embrace it. But if not it’s kinda reminds me of those Blacks that claim to be mixed with Indian, but have no immediate ties to any Native American tribes or factual documentation of being part Native American. Example:

But the real question we should be asking is why ask if they are mixed to begin with?
As if bring mixed is more attractive than regla black or regla white

Yea. Its sad but unfortunately there's a lot of simple mined people that still think this way. As if it would be impossible for a black woman especially one with brown/dark skin to be beautiful and not fit the typical stereotype of what they think Black woman should be.

My only white friend is black lol. Her dad is black and mom is white, but she looks white. She is not light skinned, but anglo-saxen skinned. She said her dad's family urged him to get a paternity test because she was so.....caucasian. I just let people tell me how they want to identify themselves as, but for the most part people that I know that are yt and blk biracial claim both sides or black.
